About San Tan Elementary

San Tan Elementary School is a neighborhood school in the Higley Unified School District serving kindergarten through sixth grade students. We provide a challenging and supportive learning environment for every student, including our unique Spanish Dual Language Immersion program. San Tan offers music, art, band, library, and computers on a weekly basis.  We are a Leader in Me school that promotes the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in all areas of the educational experience.  We believe that every student is a leader that will do great things at San Tan and in the community.

San Tan provides students with the opportunity to join clubs and other extra-curricular activities throughout the year.  We invite you and your child to join us at San Tan Elementary School where together we are committed to providing a compassionate, safe and supportive learning environment to foster academic excellence for all.  We believe in the whole-child.

Announcements

The District Steering and District Review Committees for the K-5 English Language Arts High Quality Instructional Materials Adoption presented their recommendations to the Governing Board on December 9, initiating the 60-Day Public Review. HUSD families, teachers, staff, and community members are invited to provide feedback on the committees' recommendations. Your input is valuable in this process! All materials are on display at the District Office in the Board Room for you to review. Please consult the schedule for the operating hours. The 60-Day Public Review will run through February 10, 2026. Thank you for participating! Learn About Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year

Schools will host open house events for parents and students throughout January. Events are designed to help families learn about academic offerings, extracurricular programs, and the supportive learning environments across HUSD schools.
